it depends....if you badly want one, get it - especially if you can touch'n'try before letting money go. If it's eBay offer without very good pics of item and clear statement "everything works, checked" plus return period then I'd pass. Also if I haven't dreamed this camera for weeks, I also would pass.
From your tagline I see you would get it for collection, not because you need camera to shoot. So it's very simple to make decision whether you want to spend $80 for simple pleasure of owning another piece of camera, not specially different from some other cameras you have.
But hell, for $40 I'd get it if it's "mint and fully working"
