Blackbird, Fly - A NEW 35mm TLR FILM Camera

If they want to appeal to the young teen girl market they should not only make them available in pink but have the word PINK in big white letters on it. Maybe even make PINK a brand of C-41 B&W film in pink cassettes inside of pink cannisters. And of course it'd only be available in 12 expoure rolls for $10.99 a roll.

I agree you could get a Lubitel for twenty dollars ... mess the lens up a little for the 'ART' feeling ... hell you could even paint it orange ~ paint's cheap! :p

Hey,
It's got me shopping for a 4x4 tlr, cause a small tlr looks like a fun idea.

AND nobody will make a RF digital that is manual with an on-board meter? Bessa, Pentax, Olympus, Nikon, and Fuji, they all could get into the niche market. I know NICHE, but I would like a cool RF digital that will use my junk lenses. Selfish, yes.

already on the *bay

Yea, and it's already $250 and doesn't close for another hour.

Who said $75? I've got a plastic TLR I won at the state fair 45 years ago that makes just as good an image as the ebay auction has. I'll let you have that for $75. I even *USED* it a few times as a kid, so that means it's "tested."

NB

I just got my Freestyle catalog in the mail today. They are selling these at $119. And four color choices.
I like using TLRs and I think I'll be deciding color and getting one of these this summer.

I've seen one of these in the flesh and it is seriously the cheapest and most badly made camera I have ever had in my hands. The focus screen is like a fisheye lens. It looks great but 85 pounds is way, way too much when an old Yashica - which is in another league altogether - can be had for a hundred.

I've nothing against cheap fun cameras but it seems a bit much when they cost as much as good quality cameras.

I have to agree. There's always been a "Photography Tax", meaning that anything for photography is dramatically overpriced. But Some of the stuff today is just getting stupid.

If this camera shot 50 24x24mm squares on a 36 exposure roll, it would be close to worth it, but since it only shoots 36 squares on a 36 exposure roll, it is certainly not worth it, imo.
