Rich Silfver said:I've said it before and I'll say it again - these sort of posts frustrates the crap out of me.
There have been others that have 'called out' scams and fakes, etc and there has been VERY little to support it. There are a LOT of scams on ebay - we all know it - but what makes this one for instance a 'blatant scam'?
Could it be that he posted the wrong photo?
He have sold expensive items in the past and buyers with 100+ feedback has commented positive on him.
He is allowing paypal.
He comments in his ad that the photo/description is wrong.
What is the blatant scam here?
If I EVER post an ad on ebay and someone for any reason would consider it to be a scam or fake and would post it on the internet advertising that it is - then you have no idea how costly that would be for you.
Since you had no problem going public with this blatant scam - and apparently have serious concerns - I am sending the link to this thread over to the seller on ebay so he can comment or contact you directly.

oftheherd said:Rich, I can understand your frustration. However, given that you believe the seller made an honest mistake, as indeed appears possible, is it also possible that ywenz also made an honest mistake in thinking there was a scam, from not having read the sellers post completely? And that he simply wished to alert members here? And if there was no intended foul, the mistke here is also aired out. Is it then possible you would be stirring a pot that didn't need stirring?
I don't mean to be confrontational. Just sort of thinking out loud, and curious if you had thought it all the way through. If so, I guess go for it. If not, you might want to reconsider.
Cheers.

yossarian said:I really should stay out of ebolay threads, but what ywenz did is a public service. The
single biggest scam (or sham) on the site is the feedback. NOBODY has poor feedback, because everyone's fearful of retribution if they try to point out a dishonest
member. Fred
I believe - and hope - you mean that we should all do our due diligence before entering a commitment to purchase - not to publically string people up before found guilty.yossarian said:On that site--guilty until proven otherwise. End of my part of the discussion.
