I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with Blue Moon Camera and Machine in Portland, OR for CLAs on Nikons. I'm thinking about sending my Nikon F to them to get cleaned up, and haven't seen a ton of info on their work.

I've never used them for repairs or CLAs. But I have used them a lot for development of color negative film and development of E-6. They are very reliable, use good equipment and fresh chemicals. They do have a website that allows you customize your orders. I think I'm on my fourth years with them and no problems. I did call them once to ask a question and I didn't have to press one or two or three; someone just answered the phone.

I have had 2 or 3 cameras CLAd with Blue Moon Camera. They are very good people and do great work. Call them up and talk to them, they are always honest and will take time to answer any questions you might have.

My Nikkormats, Nikon F, F2's, FM's, and FE2 have all been either repaired or CLA'd there (along with various others, Olympus, Minolta, and Pentax). Very good work and totally satisfied.

They did CLA and seal replacement on my Olympus XA. I recommend them for quality work and reasonable pricing. It's also a great place to visit.
