bnib m8

No .. I'd rather wait for a user M9 for $4500.00 personally! With the M9 out there I just wouldn't contemplate an M8 or M8.2 no matter what the price.

i know it's a stupid price, they still have it listed at over 6k but in house they say 4k...what would be a 'good' price?

I paid $2500 for mine, it was used for less than 400 pictures. That was almost 18 months ago.

I would pay a bit more than that for one BNIB at this time, it is just not worth double the price over one that is used. You can buy service contracts for used cameras.

No, I wouldn't and apparently... neither would anyone else since it arrived at the dealer. Buy 2 used ones here at rff for the same $$

If you've never owned an M8 it may seem attractive ... but to be honest if someone offered me a NIB M8 for $3000.00 I wouldn't take it.

Far too many compromises and now getting a little long in the tooth IMO.

An M8 really can't do a lot more than an RD-1 IMO ... a little less crop and a few more megapixels, that's it!

So you say, so you say!

I have a very healthy respect for the Epson ... a lot of it is courtesy of your experiences and opinion. I know you won't disappoint me with a rush of blood! :D

No. One that has been around the block and been back to Leica for kink removal would be an easier camera to own. BNIB M8.2? Maybe? Not sure.

I paid less than that for a new M8 Panda two years ago from a dealer. So I think that price is kind of high. It's not as if any M8 is likely to have rising collector value and, Joe, we all know you'd never buy a camera for collectibility. Window shopping of course is cool for someone with strong self-control (or an empty wallet). Personally, I'd look for a user at $2200-ish.

Too high. Buy a user M8 for $2000-$2300 and take your chances on repair if something goes wrong later.

this is your second thread about going digital leica my dear sir.
just decide on black or chrome and go for the M9.
4k is way to much for an M8.
(i personaly bought my M9 with just a few hundreds of actuations for 4.5k euros plus a grip, 2 extra batteries and an original leica leather case)
