ok...so maybe not that sort of born again :) but the virtual version....

long time, no post on RFF....i've left my job of six years as a g. designer and am working photographer now....for better or for worse...

it's been hard...feast or famine....but i enjoy it....sadly, most of my work is done with digital but i still break out the leicas for personal projects or some long term documentary shooting....

anyway...just wanted to invite you all to my new website...still building out a few sections but most of it is up....take a gander :)

thanks! i'm working on the documentary section right now...most of that was shot with my leica's and neopan 1600....

some neat essays....one on my brother joining the army...another on some krump dancers....and the latest on the closing of the last local camera store (terrys camera in long beach).... :(
 
Russ, congrats on the move. Very brave and I bet a lot of fun.

A question on the website - most images looks 'soft' there and doesn't have the sharpness and colours that I would expect them to. Is it just my screen/eyes or is this due to the downsizing of the images?
 
Wondered wher you got to. Nice stuff, particularly the close composition on some of the portraits and the concert shot on the front page.
 
Yes good luck with this Russ - it maybe feast or famine but it feels good (at least to me!)
I particularly like the "thinking different" image and text on your site.
