Hey all, any other young folks around Beantown? I'm a Boston native, but I just got back from 3yrs abroad and have been looking to go into town to shoot (photography as a hobby became serious while I was gone). Just curious if there are many other b&w film shooters to meet up with (not looking to call much attention, just 1 or maybe 2 people), since all of my friends have moved away since I was out of the area, lol. Not necessary to be b&w either...

Anyways, drop me a line if anyone's around.

I'm in RI. I'd love to meet other RFFers. MAybe at a future meet up as I am about to go on an extended business trip and can't really spend more time away from home for now.

Welcome welcome. Filmfan never got back to me, so maybe we're it, lol. Old people are welcome too -- gotta learn from someone :p

The rest of us are old.

And some of us are really old (chronologically, that is.) Although a Newton resident, I've spent most of the summer/spring in the wilds of northeast VT (Northeast Kingdom) clearing brush and cutting down trees.

As a result, my intention to create a photo essay (street style) on the region is going very slowly. But this week, I will finally finish Dilip's door prize (an archival print) from the last meeting in Brookline. Thanks for your patience, Dilip.

And, BTW, Harry T. is definitely not old. By my standards, he's a young, and talented, whippersnapper.

Either one works for me. Best beer place I know of is Sunset in Allston, though not too much in the way of stuff to shoot in that neighborhood. Probably only a 15min walk to Coolidge Corner, however, and Comm Ave could be interesting.

PM me details, if anyone's interested. I'll send you my cell and we can work things out. Weekends or afternoons are mostly fine for me.

My apartment is along Comm Ave in Allston and there is some damn good shooting on Friday and Saturday nights. I'll also be out shooting Allston Christmas tomorrow which happens to be one of the best weekends for people watching the entire year.

Depending on when everyone gets together I'll come along. I landed myself in a wheelchair for the time being so getting around is a logistical nightmare for me.

How about a beer and gear? Would people prefer a weeknight or on the weekend? I could do sometime later this week, like maybe Thursday. Not sure if that's last minute...

Sorry man. I've been so busy!
I live about 40 minutes north of the city in a town called Beverly (Farms), but I take the train in frequently. Let's meet up sometime in the future.

Weekends are generally it for me. Sunday around lunchtime is my best bet, and I tend to need some advance warning: the family appreciates it.
