That's not how I saw it, and I spent a good deal of time trying to understand what each of them were actually intending to do as President. And I'm far from 'stooopid'. However, you may characterize me as you wish.
 
Yeah, that was a bit of hyperbole. But based on Bush's record, I would say "misguided". I doubt W will ever be called "elder statesman" by anyone, while Gore and Kerry will reasonably considered such by at least some.

You're assuming that those who did not vote had no opinion about the candidates. i don't think that's accurate.

I suppose enough minor party candidates ran in 2000 and 2004 to give you "all 4-5 candidates", but I'd have to do some research to remember who they were. Minor party candidates are almost universally not taken seriously, for better or worse.

My point remains.
 
Olsen, it doesn't do to tangle with the Tough Kid. As he said, he doesn't care what you think about the way he plays with his marbles. But, being by definition the Only Good Kid, he's ready to shoot you and bomb you to show you the best way to starve and drown.

Maybe things would be different if you were Jimmy Olsen...

Still he was a local hero with an impact on the whole region! Both for his WWII fight against the Japanese and the struggle for liberation after the war. Lord Mountbatten was the British man in charge in Malaya and a catastrophy as such. - Hist total war effort was a catastrophy (Dieppe raid etc.). In Malaya Mountbatten represented British colonial power. That makes him no hero in Malaysia - or elsewhere in the Far East. While Gen McArthur represented an country that wanted that these nations should be free from British colonialism (re. the Atlantic Pact etc.). AlsoHo Chi Min was looked upon as a liberator from the colonial powers in this region. (Mountbatten: Help!)

Just my experiences from communist Bulgaria: Photojournalism was not easy as photographs of burning buildings for example were not allowed and as soon as you strated to take typical subect for news there were bystanders asking you menacingly. Strangely if you aswked people they very often allowed it to be photographed.

I don't know if anyone will feel less sleepy on seeing the photo attached. It seems to show that US truckers are aware of some Norwegians' affection for Obama.

As an aside, I shall add that months ago a criminally irreverent Irish friend referred to the World's Leader as O'Bomber.

Most truckers won't even know what this is. They see the words "Free Oil" and will come in.
