Brown streaks on scanned negatives

I recently picked up an Olympus 35RD and shot my first test roll. These were developed at my local lab which I quickly digitized with a digital camera then inverted in LR.

There are these prominent brown streaks across the frame that seem to be somewhat consistent in pattern (see first two images.) The third image from the same roll however doesn't show any of those streaks.

This doesn't seem to be a light leak problem since they're brown but I could be wrong. Does anyone what could have caused this?

How did you digitize, exactly?

I inverted the first image and the brown patch transforms into something bluish or grey, that looks a lot like a reflection or something seen through the negative.

Is there a bluish patch when you look at the negative? Or the patch appeared in the digital capture?

If the streaks are visible on the negs then I'd say there was a problem with the processing. One of the chemical processes didn't quite work.

Take the negs back to the lab and get them to print a couple of shots.

+1, processing is a likely cause, but...

In cases like this you line up "the usual suspects":

#1 - dirty light diffuser in the digitizing setup. The frequent mistake in this type of setup is to place the diffuser (surface of light box, ...) too close to the film which allows any surface imperfection to be imaged in the duping process.

#2 - processing issue.
