I got my IIa a little over four years ago. I didn't shoot with it much at first because the frame counter was messed up. But I didn't forget about it, buying different accessories as I found them. A couple of years ago, I purchased the 438 finder, as I was itching to get some other lenses for it. But it still had that messed up counter, and I let other things take priority. I finally worked up the courage to fix the counter last year, but still didn't use the camera much. I had so many other cams to repair, either my own or for some friends, that it just never got back in the rotation.

I hate to see it linger though, so I do take it out of the cabinet for some exercise every so often. And to remind myself why I bought it in the first place. So this past weekend, I went to a camera show, just looking for little doo-dads to go with some of my other cams. I was on a budget, and didn't really want to spend all that, but I was hoping to find something that would be hard to resist at the price. I saw this lens sitting on a dealers table, and figured it's going to be well out of my range. But after purchasing a couple other items from him, and he said he was trying to move the stuff, I spun the lens around and saw the 'C' mark. I couldn't leave it then, and the price was right.

Hopefully, this will get me to start shooting the IIa more often.
