A monarch butterfly. Amazing creatures....I recommend reading about their migration.

I use to catch their migration each year when I lived in the Florida Panhandle. I spent 10 years shooting for a little weekly and would do a section spread of photos when they came through!

I got caught up in a whole mess of those a month ago on my bike. It was great. They sorta flew with me and kept me company for quite a while.
I shot this Monarch 30-40 years ago in Savannah, Ga w/ a Canon AE-1 and FD 50 1.8 lens that I'd bought in a thrift store there for $13.50.
