Buy and develop Tri-X in Mumbai?

Hi everyone,

I'm headed back to India for the first time in a few years in a few weeks - to see friends and family and attend a few weddings. I will also be doing some of my own traveling, bookending the major wedding with two weeks of travel in the north followed by the south of the country.

I'm in the middle of my Leica year and my film of choice has been Tri-X. I was wondering if there were places in Mumbai that I might be able to purchase film and have it developed. I don't need prints, and scans aren't really important either. I would just prefer to not have to spend the week between Christmas and New Year developing the massive quantities of film I expect to work my way through 🙂.

Should I just bite the bullet and move to C41 black and white film (since it already appears that I might have to pick up a new lens as well) for the two month trip?

I was in India for three months lugging around about 80 rolls of film. Read the recommendations in that flickr group and went to go see the lab. Had everything developed and scanned- all was good and saved me so much money had I done it at home in New York.
