In recent years most independent retailers also sell via Amazon UK.
I buy all my film that way ...

I don't know about Galway, but Johngunn.ie is the film specialist camera shop in Dublin. So they can supply him or direct him to someone in Galway.

I'm not Irish, but if he'll be buying in bulk, ordering from macodirect is likely the most economic option.
