Buying the same camera twice

I once bought the same camera twice, and can see myself doing it again, as I need to replace a short portrait lens I foolishly sold. I need to move on a few things that are gathering dust, so maybe this list shall grow, who knows. You live and learn, and would rather foolishly sell something, than sell nothing and foolishly keep everything, lol :)

Never

Never

I have never bought the same camera twice because, regretably, -especially to my wife- I can never let go of a camera once I own it. Dave

I've bought, and then sold, bought another and sold again, and then bought for (I hope) the final time an Epson RD 1. I shoot it about twice a month but there's just something about it that I am just crazy about. Or is that just crazy?

I've bought and sold a Bronica SQ-A kit 3 times. Now that I think of it, I miss that old SQ-A... off to KEH!

Also been guilty of purchasing the following camera systems twice:

Mamiya 645
Hasselblad
Mamiya 7
Bronica RF645

So for me it is the norm! But sometimes it takes doing this to help find out what system is the best fit for you. I settled on the Bronica RF645 and Mamiya 6 (the only system I bought and never thought about selling!) as my two main systems.

...because I've recently done the same thing with two different cameras.

Not too long ago I bought my second Fuji X100. The first I bought back in 2012, used it for some time then went all film for the better part of a year.

More recently than that I purchased my fourth Nikon F3. I used to use two alongside each other years ago then sold those after I got an F4 and a D100. I found myself with another F3 about two years ago which I sold to a friend and fellow RFF member. Just a few weeks ago I saw one here in the classifieds that I just couldn't pass up so that's number four. I'm sure I'll buy another F4 some time in the future, as well as a Konica Hexar.

Other cameras I've repurchased are: Pentax Spotmatics (3), Nikon D2Hs (1), Crown Graphic 4x5 (1).
