reid has couple of samples in his ultra wide lens tests, I think 4,5/21 was the best from all of 21mm`s, had a lowest distortion, best flare and color control, excellent sharpness all over the place 😀

i'm sure it's good, and the distortion line (on the graph) sure looks impressive. ehh, compared to most others that is, not that i have a clue about what the graph is saying, really.

i do know curving verticals when i see them though - and horizontals for that matter - and can't say i enjoy them too much...

now if only that certain dealer would get back to me on the price/availability issue.

The 21mm/2.8 Biogon is fantastic, though long for an RF lens. It seems there will be a choice of size, speed and price between two great 21mm lenses. Who needs a fat Leica 21mm ASPH now at several times the price?

That is a fantastic lens profile. I can't wait to see images it produces. I suspect this will be my superwide (should I ever need such a lens).

Have just perused the specs. This is the first CZ ZM to make me drool. Okay, I drooled over the CS50, but we know how that ended. 🙁 To my taste, the CB21 has ideal RF qualities: small profile, broad DOF scale, no linear distortion. True to its Biogon heritage, illumination falls off like a sonofabitch. Should be an interesting comparo with my other CZ 21 (Distagon C/Y). The big question mark is lateral color...

I just got my G Biogon and it is a wonder! Sure a 21/4 or 4.5 should be compact but I was expecting the 2.8 to be big - as it seems to be in ZM guise. This thing is the same size as the 45mm Planar! - except in diameter. I can't wait to get my first rolls back from the lab.

And for the time being I am immune to the lure of the ZM Biogons and the new CV Skopar P. For the time being...

I for one am waiting out for this lens, due to price, size and performance. This lens is so sharp wide open according to tests I have seen that it practically hits peak performance from the off. I for one cannot see myself needing the extra aperture on a 21mm lens as then one would also turn increasingly into dof issues. 2.8 does not give full dof with a 21mm yet does not give selective focus either. A 21 f 1.0 would be handy here! for the rest this compact 21 4.5 will be perfect for my needs. I think it will sell well too.
