Andreas, is that a cafe? You can't see that from outside.

yes Erik, it's a small, private, very "individual" coffee house, note the "menu" hanging on the top left corner
I am quite sure that Yokosuka Mike may confirm that in Japan there are quite many small, quite individualistic shops, cafes asf., more than one may expect.
Mike, can you read the menu? Is it serving mostly coffee, or snacks. This is in a bit notorious area very downtown Osaka: https://synapticism.com/nishinari-and-the-way-things-ought-to-be/

Andreas, can you read that "menu"? Great shot, btw.
Japan is a messier country than I thought.

no Erik I can't ( sorry I had edited my post, asking Mike, while you were typing your comment )
though looking at it, I think it does not include "Kohi", coffee.

I need to travel more: all cafés I have ever been to in the US has one person per table staring at a laptop and iPhone!

If you really decide to travel and photos have played a role for making you want to travel than these photos make a lot of sense

Pan, can it be that I've seen the above picture quite some time ago? It is as if it is etched in my memory. Absolutely fantastic.

Kuuan, per the menu, I’m reading Yaki Soba and Udon (noodle dishes) some Yakitori, squid, other food items and some cheap drinks. I think it’s some sort of Izakaya. The place looks like a dump.
By-the-way, I was in Osaka a couple of months ago for 3 days and I was amazed at how many foreign tourists were there. The streets were packed with them. I’m usually a “the more the merrier” kind of guy but the crowds were so thick it was hard to walk around. Other than that we had a good time.

I have it in Flickr too. Took it 2 years ago in Shrewsbury.
Pity I overcooked that film - it came out quite grainy (it is Tmax400).

I love scenes like this. Fits somehow very well with your shots from Poland.
