Camera Bags Suitable for Rangefinders

I usually just carry the camera in a messenger bag with the rest of my stuff. If you are nervous, you can buy inserts that provide padding while keeping the camera and lenses relatively easy to extract.

Otherwise, on weekends I will use a Wotancraft Etan II to carry my complete leica outfit (M240, 50mm Summicron ASPH, 50mm Summilux ASPH, 28mm Elmarit ASPH and 90mm Apo-Summicron ASPH) along with a pair of Leica 8x32 Ultravid HD binoculars, batteries and Olympus VF-2, with a little room to spare:

It was discontinued a few years ago. I just did a google search and most of the sites either say out of stock or no longer available. It was a good buy at $30.

Take a look at the Artisan & Artist ACAM-7100 Black Camera Bag if they carry them. I have a couple and they are perfect for carrying a couple of rangefinders w/lenses along with extra film, batteries, filters, etc. They are comfortable with a wide padded strap. They have gone up in price over the past few years but they are built to last.

Back in 2011 I got their Sling 10 for a trip to Peru. I then had the original "Bare Bones Bag" in my suitcase when staying with friends. The Sling 10 fits under airplane seats, and despite being a bit bulky, was surprisingly comfortable on our trips to Cusco, etc. I was able to carry two rangefinders, flash, about 4 lenses (two attached), and a ridiculous amount of film, more than I needed. 😀 More recently I took my Fuji GF670, Zeiss Ikon with Voigtlander 35mm/F1.2 attached, a couple of other lenses, and tons of film.

I decided to try the newer "BBB-E" for day trips since I have found the original "BBB" to be surprisingly handy.

I very much like the offerings I saw from Domke and Tenba and Think Tank my local store has, plus the Hadley Pro is absolutely gorgeous. My question is, how important are removable inserts? I thought it might make a bag more reasonable to use every day. Also any last minute suggestions are welcome, especially if they look anything like the Hadley Pro.

you might want to check out ONA if you like the look of the Hadley. I've never used one, but hear good things about them from friends and the quality seems nice. Some on the forum use them, perhaps a search for Ona will bring you some results! I'm waiting until I can afford one.

I use Fogg bags of various sizes. For a couple of RF cameras plus a lens, the B-laika is great. The best thing about these bags, is that as they wear, they feel better on you, just like a brassed black paint Leica does...

I didn't realize it before, but seems like my day bag (free goodies from an event) can fit my RF kit, albeit without any padding and the lens can't be attached, so not for time when the camera constantly goes in and out.

Wrapped the lens with a bandana (also freebie) so they don't scratch on each others. Also have sleeping mask tucked under the bag for extra padding and darkness when looking for afternoon nap.
