Camera stores in Lisbon?

All those locations are still there but very different now. No steam ships today.

The tourist information at the arrivals in Lisbon airport are very helpful (and speak excellent English) and would give you a map with your locations marked for you.

Hi Terao,

After having a look at your father's pics, I realized I was missing (at least) something... the 25 de Abril bridge!!! ... not to mention the docks area (docas), ... I'm sure you are going to enjoy quite a lot your visit to Lisbon. Walk, walk, walk everywhere, and please try portuguese food and wines (not only Porto wine).

Loved to see that '60s pictures!
Regards!

1961 or 62, shot with an Agfa Ambi Silette w/50mm f/2.8 Color-Solinar and some form of ultra-slow Agfa slide.

Yep, I intend to use it as part of my exercise regime - spend all day Saturday out street-shooting so I have enough calories in the bank to have a great meal in the evening :)

Only there for the weekend unfortunately, will be heading down the coast after that for a bit of more standard tourism...

The best thing about Lisbon is that its only 2 hours from Coimbra. :D

I always wanted to look up the ebay seller Telemetro. He has some very neat things. I wonder if he has a store front. According to his ebay profile, he's in Lisbon.

Edit: Ooops.. I see that Nico has already posted about Telemetro.

Apologies for picking such an old thread. I'm going to Lisbon next week and I was wondering if the information above is still valid or do they need updating? At least J.VALLES, Lda and Colorfoto have web pages so they're still in business. Any other shops that might be worth visiting?

I'm looking for 21/25mm and 50mm lenses for RF and filters for B&W but I'm not having much hope that I can find any. I'm not going to spend very much time on location to find shops.

Thanks,
Mikko

Things have not changed so much since 2007; the shop mentioned by Pedro Reis was still there some time ago; the few shops with 2nd hand cameras always ask crazy prices. Feel free to PM if you want some addresses.
Other opportunities are the street markets (3rd Sunday each month in Belém, 4th Sunday each month in Algés). Some times there are one or two stalls at the big Feira da Ladra flea market (every Saturday morning) with decent cameras, but do not expect anything extraordinary (and beware of pickpockets there, the usual precautions must be taken). It would be better to spend your time taking pictures (bring confortable walking shoes).
Have a nice stay
Joao

Yes, pretty much is the same! The prices in fair also, but insted of 90 € for a Fed 3 with industar 61, now it's more 75 €. Or 100 € for a zorky-4k....

thanks

thanks

Currently on Vacation is Lisboa and I have to say: thanks for the hint! I've hardly ever seen such a wonderful store as J.VALLES ! They don't have any second hand stuff, but their selection is marvellous! From Holga to Linhof, from Rollei to Kodak. They even had some bellingham stuff I was looking for, but I couldn't find on my last trip to london. Prices are reasonable. The have a lab as well, I will surely test it while I'm still on vacation here for the next two weeks to come.
Great, great shop, it's difficult to find such quality back home in Germany!
