I will be going on a shooting vacation to Paris next month and I'm looking for suggestions of some camera stores there.
I don;t think I will really need anything, but it's always fun to look,

For looking, Bd. Beaumarchais (aka Bd. de la Photographie) is unbeatable. Just start walking up the road, away from Bastille.

Boulevard Beaumarchais's nickname here in France is "Boulevard du crime"
Avoid La maison du Leica and Le Grand Format.
If you do enter these shops and you do not want to spend at least 1000 Euros you will not have a smile or even a bonjour.

Beg to differ about Le Grand Format. Just got a Sekonic Twinmate there, at a very good price, and the shopkeeper put the battery on and insisted on teaching me how to use it... until he was satisfied I really didn't need his coaching. Trés gentile. Maybe I was just lucky-
La maison du Leica, on the other hand....

As stated above, Boulevard Beaumarchais is great for a stroll but compared with prices for gear here in Oz it is quite deadly.

You can go to a small shop called "Cine-Photo" in Avenue des Gobelins, near Place d'Italy.
It's a small shop, and it's completely filled with old cameras. Actually you cannot be more than 2 people inside. You usually stay on the side walk and ask what you want.
