A friend of mine I’ve known since 1966 I sometimes call him B2!
After I returned from Vietnam, I rented an apartment in Long Beach. He flew out to visit me and I picked him up at LAX. Come to find out he had a bag of weed in his jacket! Try doing that today!

I am a journo woman "of a certain age" and I can tell you that any of these suggestions are very wonderful. For quick, the GR III snap is superb. Simply goes, which is a problem for very many small cameras.
For perfect JPEG especially with skin tones the X100, x100S, and x100F are all top of the drawer. The X100T sometimes did strange things with skin. Wax like your iPhone.
Anything over 6Mega pixels is more than enough. Darling husband hangs prints from Nikon D40 at 70x105cm.. Go peep if you want but I have better things to do!! Small and light. GR/X100

I second the micro 4/3rds suggestion, especially when adding a 50-ish fast prime. The older ones go for a song and some of the lenses are beautiful.
The AFM was a nice camera! I still have one on my shelf!
