CameraLeather Q

All I did was try to go to another line, and phoof it loads.
The question is were you able to put on the original cover, or a new one. I am thinking what this would do to the resale value.

Do you mean, remove the CameraLeather cover and reinstall the original when you go to sell the camera? I'd leave it alone. By and large, a replacement CameraLeather cover would add to the camera's value. The new owner can always decide to replace it. If you've been able to save the original covering, certainly you can provide that the the purchaser as well. To be sure, some replacement coverings are a little -- idiosyncratic; however, if the camera is nice enough I think a purchaser will look past that. (Like buying a house -- pay no attention to the cosmetics; you can always repaint.)

I've also found that it's pretty hard to get the covering off a camera without ruining it in some way. Even if you get it off in one piece without tearing it, you've probably warped stretched it a bit. If it's even half a mm off it's not going to fit right again.

Yes I removed the cameraleather cover from my hexar after about 2 or 3 years.
I am certain that this distorted the shape so the removed cover is not use-able (the torlerances are absurdly tight !

market value with whatever cover ? . . . . . depends on who you ask and what you compare to. I personally think non-black leather is a rage! others say it's "tacky" (what do they know, right?)
