Hey, I have the Chrome FTN, too 😉. But mine was made in later 1971 or early 1972, so a bit late for Tet Offensive of 1968.

One of my favorite Kubrick films had cameras aplenty.

Nikon F's, a Chrome FTN, & a Black plain prism (funny, I just realized I have both of those cameras)

And an Arriflex 16S with 400ft magazine (happen to have one of these too as I used to service Arriflex motion picture cameras)

Barry Pepper, as photographer Joey Gallaway, uses a Nikon F throughout the movie.

In season 2 of 'The Crown', a youngish Lord Snowden is shown using what looks like an M3 and a Hasselblad to photo Princess Margret. He doesn't bother to focus or meter, just clicks away. In one scene he gets in real close to the Princess, just inches from her face. An impossible shot unless you like total blur. There's also an unlikely darkroom sequence with the Princess.

I remember watching the HBO movie about Hemingway and they include a reenactment of Robert Capa taking his famous "The Falling Soldier" during the Spanish Civil War - with cut to the photo before and after he takes the picture. Only problem is that (as I recall) he's holding a Leica beforehand and a Contax after - bit of a continuity glitch.

Rooney Mara's character uses an Argus C3 to take a picture of Carol, the title character in this period piece.

In "Anthropoid" the resistance uses what looks like a Rolleiflex Standart, and the Germans a chrome Leica II.

I have just watched Mike Felt movie - FBI was obviously using Nikon F during the Watergate 🙂 Does it make them "good guys"?

In "Mississippi burning", every time the press appears, there's some Speed Graphic there, specially in the interview of the KKK boss Clayton Townley. A sideways rangefinder model, an Anniversary I presume, with the black front (the Pacemaker has metallic front, right?)

I believe that is where he uses a squeegee as if it is a print tong.

One of my favorite "war photographer" movies, Under Fire.

Nick Nolte uses a Nikon F2A:

There's an upcoming movie about the nazi concentration camps where cameras and photographers would be in the leading role. "El fotógrafo de Mauthausen" is based on the real Francesc Boix, a Catalan communist photographer who flew the Spanish civil war but ended as prisoner in that infamous camp. He was forced to work in the darkroom, but was able to hide hundreds of pictures showing nazi murders and savagery. He was even in the Nurnberg trial and accused Albert Speer of knowing all the crimes. I've a couple of books about his pictures (he was also a war photographer in the civil war).
