Cameras you love but don't own

The Zone VI Studios Field Camera. I've lusted after those, both the 4x5" and the epic 8x10" since I first saw it in the Zone VI newsletters, back in the late 1970's.

They have to prove themselves before I can love them.
So, none.

The ones I love are the ones that serve me well and best; the compliant ones that do what I ask, and more, without complaining.

Tough love.

Mamiya C330F Pro
Rapid Omega 200
Graflex Special
I at one point thought I might love to have a Hasselblad, but I got over it.

Leica MP 0.58 black, vulcanite, classic engraving, only 28/90, 35, 50 framelines, M3 style advance & rewind with 28/35/50 tri elmar

Hensoldt Reporter*
Most 35mm Alpas*
Robot Royal 36
Combat Graphic 70mm*
Compass
Periflex*
Voigtländer Bessa II* (with Apo Lanthar -- alas no *)
'Bomb Doors' Vitessa*
Original Leicaflex*
Decent whole-plate or even half-plate SLR (any)

*The ones I've used/tried and either sold or had to give back to their owners

...but I don't think I'd really USE any of them, so maybe I don't love them as cameras, but just as fascinating pieces of machinery. I wouldn't mind a more modern Nikon DSLR, but 'love' would be too strong a word. I'd like a better-quality electric drill, too, and I think I'd have about the same emotional attachment.

Cheers,

R.

I have pretty much all I want, but there is a bucket list...

Fujifilm GF670 or Bessa III
Leica M
Mamiya 7II

The folder because they are current and so portable, although I love my Super Ikonta 533-16.
The M with about 3 great lenses (35, 50 and 90?) because it is Leica.
The 7II because the glass is soooo sharp.

Cheers!

Tom

Robot Royal 36 Full Frame with the 45mm f/1.8
(owned one with a 45mm f/2.8)

Voigtlander Prominent (Ver I with built-in cold-shoe) with 50mm f/1.5 Nokton
(my 1st 35mm camera)

Minox TLX
(What a masterpiece in workmanship)

Al-A Cart
Leica M7 .58-4, with 24mm f/1.4 'Lux
Black Paint with Classic Leica Logo/Model on top plate, modern Black paint controls and Classic Black Leather Vulkanit cladding
(My Dream Street Photography Film Camera)

A Nikon D900.

Yes, I know it doesn't officially exist yet, and I would never be able to afford it, but it would be truly awesome!

Cheers,
Dez

- Leica MP3
- Leica M9-P
- Bronica 645 RF
- Leica IIIc Swedish Army
- Voigtlander Bessa III
- Fujifilm FP-1

and so on and so forth...

I already have my dream cameras (a Rolleiflex 2.8F, Leica M4 + 35/2.0, Hexar AF), so these are cameras I definitely love but don't see the need to own:
- Leica MP, I like the BP/new chrome finish, the cleaner lines and rewind knob, but it doesn't offer much over my M4 aside from a meter
- Leica's own 35/2.0's, since I really like my UC-Hexanon
- Leica M9/MM/M, having used an RD-1, the idea of a digital rangefinder never gelled with me. If I use digital, I want all the ease of use it entails, so that means AF and great high ISO performance. Enter the X-Pro 1.
- Hasselblad V series (though I see an SWC in my future)
- Olympus OM series (my film SLR needs are spoken for with my F3HP)
- Nikon FM3a (see above)

I'm going to list cameras that I've owned in the past since I've loved some of them, in addition to cameras I dream of owning.

Previously owned:
Rolleiflex 3.5E
Crown Graphic
My homemade 4x5 Superwide with 65mm SA
My homemade 6x12 with 90mm Optar
Voigtlander Avus
Pentax Spotmatic SP
Contax RX
Nikon F3
Nikon F4
Leica M2
Konica Hexar AF
Konica Hexar RF
Adox Adrette II
Fuji G690 BL
Bronica S2a
Bronica ECTL
Zeiss Super Ikonta A
Leica IIIf BD
Nikon SP (still own)
Leica M4 (still own)
Speed Graphic (still own)

Cameras I'd love to own:
Mamiya 6
Korona 8x10
Pentax LX
Nikon F2
Hasselblad 500CM
Hasselblad SWC
Black paint Leica M (M4 or earlier)
Black paint Nikon RF
Leica O
Linhof 617 or 612
Nikonos IV-a or V (green)
Contax T2
Contax II

Surely there's more on this list.

I've always wanted a Canon New F1 (the F1N, not the F1n), but they're still too expensive.

I'd love to have a Leica M Monochrome or an M9, but there's no money for that either.

Aside from that, there are no cameras I want but don't have.
