Of course, if I had not let go of the cameras progressively, I would not have been able to have my current cameras now. Having every camera - hmmm, I would if I could.

I'm contemplating selling my Hasselblad 501 set up with lenses, backs and filters and jump to a Mamiya 7II and a DSLR but I'm afraid I'm going to regret it.

The best camera is one that still works!
I sold my immaculate IIIG a few months ago and was convinced I'd regret it ... but no!
I do miss some people who have gone from my life though!

I sold a Yashica 124 a couple of months ago since I hadn't shot a single roll of film with it since I bought it some years ago. Now, after having shot 35mm film for a couple of months I really want to try medium format and would think the Yashica would be perfect for me. If I buy a similar camera now I will have used as much in shipping as I got for the camera I sold

3 biggest selling regrets:>
1. My deepest sense of camera loss: selling a Leica MP 0,58
2. Second deepest sense of camera loss: selling my v.2 summilux 50 -- except for the 1m close focus, I loved everything else about that lens....
3. Third deepest sense of camera loss:> selling a CV 35/1,2. Man did I miss the lens. So last year I bought another. Though it is almost as large as my summilux 75, the unique rendering of the lens makes it a must-have.

I regret selling my Canon FD 85/1.2L, 24/1.4L and 135/2 lenses -- who could have forseen that they might have an opportunity for a second life on a micro 4/3 body?
There are some cameras I regret not selling :bang: -- for example, two extra Canon F-1N bodies and a whole bunch of accessories -- anyone want some?

I once had a Yashica-Mat which broke down and I sold for parts. Then I made a serious upgrade to a Hasselblad 500cm. Great camera but very heavy, high maintenance, very loud, and accessories cost a bundle. I began to actually miss the 'Mat.
So I eventually sold the 'Blad and simplified (as was the personal trend at the time due to the economy) to a new 124g. Of course the mechanical quality of the 500cm was so much more superior to the 124g that I couldn't help but feel I was holding a hunk of junk sometimes, ESPECIALLY when I turned that Yashica-Mat crank. Ugh, what a horrible sound.
So, I essentially managed to sell the 124g and secured an Autocord for the essentially the price I sold it for. I'm as happy as a clam now.

I want them all back... I've never bought or sold a camera I didn't like, any that I've sold have been purely to free up cash for more gear

Same here. I bought my first one about 20 years ago while I was in college. Sold it after graduation to help pay off debt. I kept my Nikon gear instead. I've always regretted that.

Yaschica 124G I thought I would like medium format SLR but instead I found it is too heavy and got another 124G now instead.

1. A mint Canon VI-L with leather case. I mean MINT.
2. User's Leica CL. This cutie has to return home one day.
3. Leica M5. An error of judgement ...
In two cases, it was a trade and not a sale. I liked the items too much to sell them for money.
