Don't know what this piece is for. Only marking I see on it is pencil marked something like Rolsch or Roisch or Roisell. See attached pics. Thanks.

What size? It is some passport/mug shot four-in-one lens board for large format. Not Linhof or Sinar compatible, as these have less rounded corners. Might be Plaubel, if the size is right, but many makers used coarsely similar boards, only exact dimensions will tell the brand (respectively board system).

Thank you. The size of the board is 2" x 2". Is that the only dimension needed?

Too tiny for LF and even for press 6x9 cameras, I am not aware of systems with boards smaller than 3" on the long side. But there were many dedicated Polaroid mug shot cameras and Photomaton style passport picture boxes with such a four lens configuration, it might be from any of these.

You win in my book. I used one in the Air Force about 50 years ago.

When I was a kid and I asked a question my mother could not or did not wish to answer her response was usually a nonsense one. So taking her lead "It's a wigwam for a goose's bridle".

It's a closeter lens set for a package printer. They'll print 4 up at once of whatever print size it's designed to print. A friend had a print lab and used them for school, portrait and prom packages

Leica M2 Wood Grip

B-9 asked about my wood grip and for photos. I picked it up at a photo show in Columbus, OH in the early to mid 80's. I believe this was before Leica made there grips for the M6 and other Leicas. It is Oak and has seen a lot of use but I am very carful with my equipment.
