Edit: Just set up the link with the exclusions (mostly digital). What a difference. Much appreciated.

I think it would simple to add a second "todays posts" menu item called "todays -digital" which uses a link like I have posted above. That way everyone would be happy and its a very simple forum change at no cost(except a little time).
