Can I see your favorite LF images...

Can I see your favorite LF images? Three at the most. Your very best. And, please include color if you can.

Also, I'm preparing to experience LF for the first time. I have my 4x5 quickloads, a Super Speed Graphic, A Rodenstock lens with a big speck of dust in the optics, a loupe. Is there anything I'm forgetting? Any tips for the field? I'll be shooting around NYC and Long Island. All I need is a dark cloth and a sturdy tripod for the graphic.

Does anyone have a good tripod to sell me for my adventure? Any location tips for the areas I mentioned?

Velbon tripods with the aluminum channel lock legs are cheaper, and surprisingly sturdy for what you want to do. Will you be doing your own development?

As necessary equipment for the field I also would recommend a light-meter, stopwatch for long time exposures, and a dark-cloth or black t-shirt.

So I'm not the only new one. 🙂

- not doing own development. I have the chemistry but will save that for later.
- I have a 1 degree spot meter but dim in low light. Wish it had a lit display or something.

Well, I just shot my first four test shots in the house. I'm using Provia 100F Quickloads on my Super Speed Graphic. Hope they come out decent.

It was a lot of fun!

That was one of my very first shots and I remember looking at it and being amazed that it made that scene seem like you could walk into it.

LF is really amazing for the 3D effect you get occasionally.
