Lovely photos from a beautiful place. I’m hoping to visit Canada in July
I don’t understand the title though?

I love this as a set, bookending with the black-and-white, coming and going, the sharp punch of color in between and the glass of (I cannot guess, port? Sherry? Brandy?). It's got a great feel to it, evocative of my youth in Minnesota but also different.

The snow encouraged me to stay away. This said, I would not consider Canada a 'boring' country, nor would I consider any other country in the world as boring. The best boring photographs are by Martin Parr in his 'Boring Postcards': https://www.amazon.com/Boring-Postc...n+parr+boring+postcards&qid=1581256938&sr=8-2

I think I'd rather be with KoFe than Harry and Meg (or Madonna).

Thank you, all, for checking and figuring it out!
Madonas are for real. Shortly after arrival to Canada I was asked to help to find job here for one person. His spouse was known to put Pointe shoe and dance on the table.
She told once - "if you are not hiking here, Canada is boring".
I'm hiking since I was kid (my parents did, stopped only recently). And I also meet and talk with people. And where are many of those who are helping others. For real...
It wasn't cold. -6 C then we came and -11 C then we left. M-E was running on same battery.
It is brandy from Cognac on the last frame and port from Portugal among the color frames
It wasn't cold because on the way to the fire pit we met three dressed like Toronto dudes. They smelled like fire pit and I told "fire is on". Then we came fire pit was steaming and covered with snow and ice... It took two hours for five of us to get it going. (Local park authorities maintain this fire put on weekends, just like yesterday) . Longest time either for me to get fire going. Well, one of, but it is another story.

Fun set. I particularly liked the ones at the fire. The brandy looks to be chasing a morning danish from the grocery!

Kostya, I know Madona is a town in Latvia, and I can see your article is a reference to Madonna. But I don't see why you spelled it "Madonas." Is that a local expression? I know I'm missing something.

I suspect the couple in question planned to "go Hollywood" all along.
So why the stopover in Canada?
IMO Canadians should consider themselves well-rid of them...

Canada is a very, very interesting place if you are comfortable with the outside, during all seasons. If you’re looking for the nearest Gucci outlet or dance club with a fishbowl in the floor then yes, Canada can be a bit of a let down

good one Ko , Title and Photos !
I edited your Title and put (Madonna) in parenthesis
So those that do not ‘get it’’ have a hint
though Mike’s link to the tabloid news makes it easy to understand, lol

Misspelling. Thanks for Helen to get it corrected.
I spell it how I remember it in Russian poetry. Madona.
