I have a pretty exciting package coming!!! I was hoping someone might be able to give me some info or experience they have had with sending parcels from Canada to the US with this service. I don't think I've had anything come by this method before & was interested in feedback from others. Thanks!

Peter

Should be pretty quick ... three business days.
Did the vendor give you a tracking number? If so, you can follow its progress at canadapost.ca

Thanks Peter! I'm jumping the gun a little here because my payment only went in the mail today. The seller has been good with communication, so I'm sure I'll get a tracking # when it's on the way... I can't wait!

Thanks again,

Peter

Sorry ... Expedited parcel is slower ... 6 to 12 business days (though I've seen them arrive inside a week). I was thinking Expresspost.

canada post...

canada post...

canada post rules. i have had nothing but GREAT experiences with them and they are cheap, cheap, cheap. most packages i have sent to the us arrive in about 3-4 days even though they often quote longer.
good luck

I just sent some packages "Expeditied Parcel-USA" don't let the name fool you. it's not fast. And the travel time can be delayed by customs if it's a high dollar item. Or if they have nothing better to do.

I think one of these packages may have been intended for me, so I'll second that sentiment. Generally I've had good luck shipping parcels to and receiving them from Canada but lately things have slowed way down.

I recently sent a camera to an RFF member in the U.S. via surface mail and it arrived in 7 days ... the Canada Post quote had been much longer.

It is the Customs Office of the receiving country, not the sending country, that may hold up parcels.

Thanks for sharing all your experiences... I have a much better idea of how it works now & what to expect. I also can't wait to hear that my package is on it's way!!!
