I have a Canon P and three Canon lenses for it: 50/1.4, 50/1.8 and 35/2.8.

Now I would like to have a Canon 100mm ltm to make the collection "complete", but I would like to have it with the focusing ring as the 50/1.8 and 35/2.8 (I don't really like the focusing ring style of the 50/1.4; each his own taste, I guess).

Was such a lens ever made ? The closest I could find was that silver-black one 100/3.5 with a silver focus ring; I would like to have it black of course. BTW, is 105$ a good price for the silver-black 100/3.5 in a usable (but not perfect) condition ? I might buy it until I find the one I'm really looking for.

Thanks,

Stefan.

There's a thread going about this right now--there are two of the late style 100's, the 100/2 and the 100/3.5. I'm in the market for the latter right now but might break down and get the former if I can't find one. Both are superb, but the 100/2 is REALLY LARGE.

That $105 eBay one you're referring to is probably a good user, by the way. I have it bookmarked at the moment.

Yes, I was looking at it from the start and talked about it with the seller; he lowered the price as a result, but I'm still hesitant about it because of the shipping cost.
