Does anyone here have experience with a Canon 19/3.5? It could serve as a 28mm on an R-D1. I have seen virtually nothing written about the quality of the lens. It is possible that the rear element is too close to the film plane for the lens to work well with a digital sensor, and I would be interested in hearing about anyone's experience with this lens on a digital body.

Thanks.

Mine works fine with the Leica adapter and the RD-1.

The example I have is very sharp, contrast somewhat low, prone to flare.

The results are very good but require careful Photoshopping.

I have zero knowledge about it since it's so rare--except that it's BIG bucks. If you got one, you have a treasure and if you don't, I can't see it's practical due to the cost. Get a VC 21.

I use mine on a CL, CLE, M8. Very good lens with lower contrast. I can raise contrast in the darkroom or on the computer. A little heavy with a very good finder. It's in my avatar.
