I've acquired a 28mm f2.8 Canon lens which I'm using on my Zorki 4K. Has anyone any comments on this lens?

I believe that either back alley or Raid have or have had that lens. I've got a 28/3.5 that is a very nice optic on my CL. Sharp with lower contrast for a very pleasing (to me at least) somewhat "vintage" look.

I was just going to say I don't recall to much discusssion by those with hands on knowledge of this lens. Stan, you will have to share your results.

at the wider apertures, there's lots of vignetting but it's sharp in the center. stop it down to f8 and everything's peachy.

I think, Joe had the 28mm/2.8; I have the 28mm/3.5.

Yes, the Winogrand lens. Sean Reid uses one on his RD-1. I've got one myself for my RD-1, it is small, compact. Doesn't focus as close as the current Leica 28mm Elmarit, though.
