This was actually a 'Heads Up' - I didn't buy it.

How would the results of this lens compare to those from a $175 used CV35f2.5 ? I'm thinking they're pretty close: sharp with high contrast. The Canon lens is a smidge faster.

the cv lens has way more contrast.
the canon has a nicer/slightly lower level of contrast.
it does not produce as harsh looking photos.

I agree with Joe. I had a 35/2.5 VC Pancake several years ago. I didn't like it nearly as much as my Canon 35/1.8.
