If the original is too small, you can always buy this, which is about 20cm across. Then buy an M72-M95 step-up ring, cut a few holes for the viewfinder in the step-up ring and enjoy the biggest lens hood on the planet.
Just wanted to share what I have discovered. A Nikon HN-12 Polar filter hood is a two part hood, a 35-200 and second part 85-200. The 85-200 is 72 mm diameter and 1 1/2 cm in length. Hope this helps.
