Canon 7 Price

I have a chance to purchase a Canon 7, 1.4 lens, original lens hood and case all of them almost mint, price £85, is this a bargain?

That is a great price. $300~$400 is more typical.

If the person is ASKING 85 he's likely expecting a bit less. Tell him "it's one of those old fashioned film cameras, Canon hasn't made lenses for them in nearly forty years, those old meters never work right, parts are difficult to find, etc." and offer 60 or 65, be ready to negotiate, and you just might settle in the 70 to 80 range. Good luck. (And hope he's not reading this!)

Or - Be more honest, give him a £100, feel better about not totally cheating the seller, and know you still have a tremendous bargain.
