Bought a Canon 7 off the site, just put into service. I noticed the shutter button throw was very long before it released. I had to push it until I could almost push it no more. Is this normal for the Canon 7 or is this a bum example? If the latter, easy fix?

Putting a Softie made it usable in the short run but inquiring minds want to know, "Am I back in Boston? Did I get scrod?"

Thanks, I thought that likely as I have never heard of a particularly long throw. Other thoughts, anybody? Likely cause? Easy fix?

OK, I got down to the monthly Photographers Supply Camera Garage Sale Saturday. One of the vendors had two Canon 7s. Tried one -- sure was "regular" throw. Wonder what the problem with mine is.

And let this be a warning to all out there. Never buy from that auction site without trying out the gear right away. This is the 2nd time I've belatedly doscovered a proble. Do as I say, not as I do.
