I just received a Canon 7 I won on Ebay. It's in great looking shape except it seems the button to change the ISO doesn't work. When I push it in the shutter speed dial still turns without changing the ISO. It's set at 100 so I'm OK with that until I find a fix or get it fixed.

My more pressing question is, when I put my Canon 50 1.8 on it the scale is off to the left a bit. The focusing scale on the lens is not centered on top. Can't think of a better way to explain in. I have a CV 75 and when I tighten it on the focusing scale is centered on top. Any ideas?

Most all the Canon, Leitz, and Nikon lenses I've seen in Leica thread mount are offset like that. When you have a multi-frame finder mounted on the camera you can still look down next to the finder and read the lens scales that way. Anyway, it's normal and the lens should focus just fine. Your CV 75 should work just fine with the scales on top.

Thanks a ton guys for the fast response. I just started reading up on Canon LTM and am undecided on what lenses to go for first. I've had the Canon 50 for a number of years with nothing to put in on.

Get a nice Canon 35/2.0 and don't look back. The 50/1.8 is a sweet lens, imho, but if you spot the now "holy grail" of a Canon 50/1.5 you should probably buy it. BTW, it seems its "grail" status is thanks to us RFFers... so maybe I should not start this all over again. Stick with the 1.8 - it's sweet.
