googled for an instruction manual for the QL17 but to no avail...i keep going to links for GIII QL17/19.

can anybody help me? :) thanks in advance.
 
thanks kat. the ones i found are for sale...got to download a manual for GIII for free...i hope i could find one too for just the QL17.:D
 
oh...it's only now that i saw the password on the page itself. i guess i got too excited when i saw the list and went straight to the canon ql 'open' link. :p

Sorry about the password. It works for a while to stop the cheapskates downloading them and selling them on eBay. It did work for a while but there are too many third party programs that get round it. When I get time I will have to remove it.

Canonet QL 17 Manual

Hi

Did you ever find a manual for the Canonet QL 17 (the early big one circa 1965 I take it was what you were looking for). I'd really appreciate a copy of that one if you managed to find one. I can't get the metering to work, and this is probably due to incorrect battery. Mine has a battery well not a slide out chamber (like the QLIII) and I have no idea what battery is supposed to go in there.

Thanks, I found the manual and many question are answered, thanks to Hakuna Matata. The confusion for me is caused by the spring in the battery compartment (clearly visible in the manual) is missing on my Canonet. Hopefully I can replace this and get the meter to appear.
