Hi guys,

After having my dearest QL17 stay on the shelf for a year or so, I picked it up the other day to realize that it has some problem at slow speeds. At 1/4, 1/8, 1/15 and 1/30, the shutter triggers, the blades open but they don't shut. If I wind, the blades shut ... I don't have the problem at other speed including in B mode ... What is wrong? Is there an easy fix ? Is this what you call stiky shutter? Why only at slow speed?

Thanks for your help !! I haven't used it for one year but I feel a strong urge to run a roll through it ...

Probably it's starting to show the sticky shutter problem that this shutter/camera is known for.

I've got a similar problem on the Mamiya SD which uses a similar shutter, where it works fine from 1/8 up, but hesitates on 1/4 and slower. Since it still works fine at the speeds I use, I haven't taken it apart yet to see what's going on.

My feeling is that a very small amount of Ronsonol will cure this.

The blades that you see, are they shutter blades or aperture blades. If the latter then there is no problem, methinks.
