Canon EX 125mm f3.5 Lens

Hi, I recently bumped into this funny-looking lens at an antique store in Carlsbad. I made the mistake of looking through the glass and what I saw captivated me and made me want to try this lens out.

Has anyone here used it perhaps? Info from Canon is a bit skimpy:

I wonder if this lens can be mounted in a 4/3 body. I hear there is an adapter for it on a micro 4/3 mount but 4/3 is all I have.

I have been unable to see any samples of photos taken with this lens.

Andy they made four lens 50 1.8 , 35 3.5 , 95 3.5 and your 125 3.5 the lens have no aperture blades, the blades were made with in the lens mount on the camera. I don't think your lens will work on anything other than that camera . I have three cameras , one canon and two Bell and Howell versions ( made by canon )

The other camera was the Ricoh 126C it takes the old 126 film cartridge. I'm able to reload those cartridges with 35mm film to keep it going. Lenses made for it were just like the Canon, with a 50 , 35, and 100. but they won't work on any other camera except the Ricoh.

One has to wonder. What were they thinking? A really bad answer to a question nobody asked.
There are too many cameras and even more great lenes that will work on modern digital bodies to bother with crippled lens heads like this. The other half of thje lens is in the camera.
Buy complete lenses.

Here are a few shots with different lens. this is one of only two cameras I know of that are made like this.

Actually, there were quite a few made like this, though many (most?) were RFs like the several Kodak Retina models that had interchangeable front cells.

Tom, thank you for the background and the photos. Btw, the colors and detail on these pics look great, I assume the lenses are pretty good optically?

Speaking of ways to mount it, I found this post on eBay by a gentleman who claims it can be mounted on a m4/3 body: link

I can't help but wonder what it can produce on a digital body...
