Canon bodies have been functional. I rather liked the looks of my EF.
I don't recall ever seeing a Canon camera I thought was beautiful though ... they missed the style boat somewhat IMO! 😛

Well, these are, of course, personal views, but I think you are in a minority here - as Canon started a HUGE trend with T90, which developed into thier EOS line and many other camera makers followed with similar lines. Just look at how smooth and rounded SLRs are now. Canon T90 is a beautiful machine - looks and functions - way ahead of it's time and cool even now.
The T90 was near perfect but sooooo loud I couldn't get into the same room as the thing.
