Canon IVsb and Summar

I just got my IVsb today and wonder if my Leica lens will collapsable without hurting anything? I saw where someone said the Summar would hit the light baffle on a P, is this a problem with the other bodies?

Nope, only a handful of the later bodies had those issues. I used a Industar collasible on a IVSb for awhile with no issues at all. I consider the Canons to be the best Barnack style body made & your Summar should be a wonderful complement to it.

No, alas I'm still waiting impatiently. Good to see you over here as well - there are lots of good folks about here too.

The 50/1.8 is a great lens on a IVSb and I'm really happy that I just recently got given (!) a very nice Serenar version. Of course being chrome on brass it probably wieghs more than the CL I'm using it on 😀 I may well have to get another IV series body to go with it 😉 (like I need yet another camera :bang: )

William I just got my Canon today, it looks pretty good and I like the way you can change the viewfinder for the different lenses.
