On the slow speed dial, is the setting designated by a dot and an X, 1/15 sec? I'm guessing so because it is located between 1/25 and 1/8, but I would like to verify that.

X is the flash sync speed and I believe it is 1/15th, but I haven't ever been able to find confirmation on the web.

Peter Dechert said, in his Canon Rangefinder book, that the early electronic flash units had a built in delay, and it was necesary to use such a slow speed( 1/15 s ) for flash sync. to over come this delay.

Ah, I figured it would be covered in The Book. Going to have to break down and find a copy of it...

If you love Canon LTM RFs, it is a fine read, packed with info on our favorite subject,...... well one of my favorites anyway.
