I recently purchased a Canon L-2. The viewer has settings for 35mm, 50mm and RF. What is the purpose of the RF? Does it correspond to any specific lens?

Thanks

It magnifies the rangefinder image for more accurate focusing, which is especially important when using longer-focal-length lenses.

You can use the RF position as an approximation of the view through a 100mm or 135mm lens, but it's pretty vague. The best bet is to use an accessory viewfinder for viewing and the RF position for focusing.

I second what jlw said, although I think that the RF position is closer to 135mmm view than 100mm view. Handy feature to have.
