Canon LTM 50mm 1.4 rattling sound when shaken?

About to buy a Canon LTM 50/1.4 but seller just sent me a video of a sound it makes when shaken. Is this normal?

Not normal. Went to shake mine just in case. Perfectly silent.

One common noise problem can be rectified by making sure that the back ring that holds in the whole lens block is tight, but other things can also cause that problem.

Might be a loose lens element. Maybe the front retainning ring needs to be tightened after element is centered. Or something a bit deeper?


Not much else to shake in these. No aperture actuating levers or such.
