Canon LTM Canon P, Canon VI or Bessa R3a?

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Greg Weber would be the guy to ask. It would probably be impractical to ship the camera to him for the CLA if you have a local guy, but he can probably help with your questions. His web page is http://www.webercamera.com.

If it is like my Kodak, the internal gears that perform the linkage would have to be modified. Someone would have to know what they are doing for that. Be happy with it, you can bracket for DOF and not have to worry about the exposure changing.

Leica did make a Leaflet Shutter camera MANY years ago, and even made a version of the Summicron with a Built-In Compur shutter.

Thanks to everyone for your responses so far!

Hmm, doesn't bracketing mean taking three identical photos of which one is overexposed, one is exposed correctly and one is underexposed? Decisive moment photography pretty much eliminates that possibility, especially with the difficulty of unlinking the aperture/shutter wheels.

Hmm, where can I find more information about that?

"Bracket" normally applies to exposure value, but is used "loosely" here to mean get wide DOF or Narrow DOF with the linked controls. On a regular camera, you would have to change f-Stop and Shutter Speed separately to do this.

The Leica collector's books have information on the Compur leica. My "50th anniversary" book covers it. I have seen the Leaflet Shutter Summicron on EBay, the seller stated that about 100 were made. It is pricy!
