Canon P footprint

Hello all
I am curious about the dimensions of the Canon P bottom plate vs. the Canon L1. Since I don't have a P would some one measure width and length if possible for me.

Without getting too technical, my Canon P base plate measures ~5.5" in length X ~1.19" in width.

I had bought a Mr Zhou's Canon P half case to try on my L1 and it is a snug fit. Will measure my L1 base tomorrow . If it is the same I am going to see if Zhou can do a mod on a new half case with a cut out for the slow shutter dial on the camera and around the pc socket.

The Canon P is 145 x 32mm, including the hinge and the back catch.
