I bought a Canon P from a seller who has a 100% rating on ebay......Looks nice but a look in the RF window shows the black snowflake/spiderweb that could be fungus.
I am prepared to make it a project.
- So are there any experiences with that Kind of problem?
- Is there a tutorial that demonstrates how to take off the top plate/disassemble the camera and how to clean it/kill the fungus, without dmaging the RF?

I would like to give it a try because Canon Ps are not easy to find in Austria

Best regards

More likely balsam failure in the prism elements. Unfortunately the Zorki Kat site on opening up a Canon P is no longer.

You can remove fungus from a glass surface by soaking the glass in a 50/50 solution of ammonia and hydrogen peroxide for several minutes.

Leave it in sunlight for a couple of days to let the UV kill it. Clean affected surfaces with rubbing alcohol, naphtha, if those don't do it you can apply and leave overnight "cold cream" which will remove it for sure.
