Does anyone know if the overall shape of these two cameras is close enough that a case for one would fit the other?

I just held my L1 and P together. The cameras seem to be the exact same size. Holding the baseplates together, they are the same size. Note that the P has a self timer, the L1 does not. The L1 has a slow speed dial on the front, the P does not. I am not sure if the cases will be effected by these differences.

Thanks for your help. I just ordered a L3 from KEH and am looking forward to trying it. I have a IIIF but just never adjusted tot the bottom loading, so the L series has some appeal to me. Between the P and the L, which do you like better or what features of each do you appreciate?
