It would be slightly better with black "leather", I think.
This seller does have several other more usual repaints, some Ps and a couple Vts, that are black and actually look pretty good, I think.
As well as a few less obnoxious colors of P.
But, if 35mm film isn't your thing, they also have a bright red Pentax 6x7.

The camera you have shown here has completely different quality on re-paint from link in OP where it is nothing, but dink&dunk trashed camera.

The guy that does most of these repaint jobs for eBay sellers is based in Shanghai. You can view interesting shots of the stock he handles and the process on his Instagram at handle marc_gogogo. Often he shows row upon row of M3s, Canon Ps, Pentax 67 and more, all about to be punted some colour. The market seems to be big enough for this to be his day job as far as I can tell.

I get the impression this is a simple spray-on paint. A proper "paint" job probably-maybe would be powder coating, as used on metal automotive parts and accessories.
